Prospective Members Information

If you play a musical instrument, please consider joining the Noank Mystic Community Band.  This non-profit organization allows people who play or have played an instrument to enjoy performing a variety of music throughout the year.

We are based in the Noank- Mystic area of Connecticut, on the coast midway between New York and Boston. Our members come from many communities in the area due to close proximity to Interstate 95. Practice is held at the Noank firehouse every Wednesday evening from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  The band is open to all. We do not require auditions; just a desire to play music.  The range of ability is wide.  There are some very talented to some who struggle with the music, but we all have fun.  We also have members who range from sixteen to ninety.  We encourage local school music students to join us at any time.

About 18 concerts are held each year.  These range from two formal concerts to small get togethers at local retirement homes.  Our 4th of July concert in Noank Park is always a big crowd pleaser and several Christmas concerts keep everyone in the spirit during the holidays.

So if you are looking for something fun, enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding come to a practice at the Noank firehouse.
